Stuck with an Unworn Dress: The Most Inflexible Return Policy I’ve Ever Experienced! 😡

I want to share my terrible online shopping experience as a cautionary tale for everyone considering ordering from this site. I bought a dress online, but due to being unexpectedly out of town, I didn’t receive the package until after the strict return window had closed. When I contacted them, even though the dress was brand new, they refused to extend the return date as a courtesy. I felt utterly helpless and frankly, cheated. This inflexible approach makes me conclude:

“Bought a dress online but I didn’t recive my dress in time to return it because I was out of town. Even thought the dress is brand new they couldn’t extent the return date as a courtesy. What a scam.”

I felt compelled to leave this review and try to engage with customer service because their return policy felt deliberately designed to trap the customer.

Customer: I am calling about order #4455. I received the dress late because I was traveling, and now your system says the return window expired yesterday. It is brand new, still tagged. Can you please make a one-time exception?

CS Rep: I understand how frustrating that is, especially when you haven’t even had a chance to wear the item. Let me pull up your order details and review the return policy parameters.

Customer: I just need a short extension, maybe two days, so I can ship it back. Refusing to help a first-time customer over a day is ridiculous. That’s why I called it a scam.

CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the rigid nature of the policy. I have checked with my supervisor, and unfortunately, we are unable to override the deadline for a refund or store credit once the 14-day window has closed.

Customer: So, I’m stuck with an unworn dress because your internal policy doesn’t allow basic courtesy? This is poor service.

CS Rep: I recognize your disappointment, and I am truly sorry we cannot extend the return date. As a gesture of apology for the policy rigidity you experienced, I can offer you a 20% discount code for any future purchase.

Customer: I appreciate the offer, but I wanted a refund for the item I couldn’t return.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
