CD Projekt Red has responded well to Ruppert’s warning. On Twitter the developer replied directly to Game Informer ‘s message and declared its intention to add a new warning to the game aside from the one included in the EULA. It also mentioned that the dev team is already looking into the specific triggers listed by Ruppert, and will be implementing “a more permanent solution” as soon as possible. Whether this solution consists of a blanket overhaul to the game’s lighting or a discrete mode that epileptic fans can toggle on remains to be seen. There is as of yet no time frame for this solution either; in the meantime, epileptic fans who want to play the game should take extreme care to avoid th
A screenshot of the actual map in-game, provided courtesy of GadgetGang , doesn’t reveal any spoilers per se, but it does show just how much there is to do in Cyberpunk 2077 . The map is huge, as was expected, but what wasn’t expected is the sheer density of Night City. The screencap comes from early gameplay, which means that even in the initial chapters of the story, there’s already eleven active mission markers, along with a ton of other stuff to do and
With press copies of **Cyberpunk 2077 ** being sent to reviewers and content creators, developers from CD Projekt Red are asking early players to restrain from spoiling the game’s story and gameplay until launch. Quite recently, the studio has also abandoned its initial plans to reveal early information regarding future DLC that will be instead detailed in 2
“Cyberpunk 2077 is ultimately a game that is tailor-made for multiple playthroughs. The more skills V unlocks and the deeper they sink into the conspiracies of Night City, the more it becomes clear that this is a game which fans will happily sink their time into, well past the relatively short main campaign . CD Projekt Red assembled a collection of the finest open-world mechanics we’ve already seen, and most of them work well. Ultimately, it feels like Cyberpunk 2077 is a fitting bookend for the previous generation of games and a strong starting point for current-gen. Now it’s time to start innovating aga
Unfortunately, this does not count as the first instance of so-called “fans” taking things to an uncomfortable degree of despicable behavior this year. It’s not the first time the discourse surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 has centered on the horrible actions of certain segments of the community, either. Upon announcing the RPG’s third and final delay, CD Projekt RED staff were sent death threats and other abusive messages from people upset about a game release’s 21-day postponem
The rest of the world will start playing Cyberpunk 2077 on December 10, but according to a recent leak, a pre-download option will become available on December 8 for those who have pre-ordered the game. It will be especially useful considering that the base game occupies around 71GB. Having two extra days prior to the launch to get a sizeable chunk of content including various fixes and improvements is hard to overestimate. Moreover, the game will be ready to play the very moment it finally releases, as opposed to a necessity to download a huge patch fi
“Cyberpunk 2077 is dark and disturbing at times (frighteningly so), but the majority of its content is fascinating, and loaded with depth through the various RPG systems and lore. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Night City, and Johnny Silverhand is a great partner to see the sights with. Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t overstay its welcome with its critical-path story, and invites players to jack in and stay for hundreds of hours of unique content should they want to. It didn’t blow me away like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but is still a hell of an opening to what will hopefully be a new seri
The best way to do this is to look away from the screen completely during Cyberpunk 2077’s Braindance animations , or pausing the game frequently to avoid prolonged flashing lights. Some TVs and monitors have modes that reduce certain kinds of light, such as lowering blue light. While none of these are surefire fixes for avoiding seizures during cyberpunk 2077 News|https://cyberpunk2077fans.com/ 2077 , they’re currently the only known ways to try to avoid epilepsy triggers while playing the g
Ruppert’s recent post on the matter ends with a simple message: ” Be better, please .” This kind of plea for simple acts of empathy, that should truly take no effort, is the rallying cry each and every time topics of this nature resurface. Evidently, the gaming community, at least as it exists on social media, still has plenty of growing to
Unfortunately, when the game hits shelves on December 10th, not everyone will be able to fully enjoy the bright lights of Night City. Liana Ruppert, a journalist for Game Informer , issued a PSA yesterday warning epileptic fans of an overabundance of flashing lights in the game which could potentially trigger seizures. Given the high-tech nature of the game’s setting, this is perhaps understandable, but that doesn’t make it any less dangerous. Among the many potential triggers Ruppert outlined were decorative lights pulsing in multiple bars and nightclubs, as well as a glitchy visual effect which appeared every time Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand appeared onscreen. She also identified the game’s braindance mechanic as a major threat; the headset that protagonist V uses to engage with this mechanic in-game bears an unfortunate resemblance to a medical device used specifically to trigger epileptic episodes, and is roughly as effect
