I wanted to share my terrible online shopping experience as a serious caution to future customers. I placed an order for an expensive item, received a billing charge, and then watched as the entire transaction seemed to vanish into thin air. After days of fruitless attempts to track down my item, the terrible conclusion I came to was that the entire result of my purchase was absolutely
null
. I paid for something that functionally does not exist and was never delivered. I felt compelled to leave a review and engage in a conversation with customer service because others need to know how easily an order can be swallowed up by their system, leaving the customer with nothing but a charge on their statement.
Customer: I need to know why my order, #4917B, which I paid $150 for last week, has completely disappeared from your system. I have no tracking updates, and my confirmation link leads nowhere.
CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the frustration this lack of information is causing you. In case you have virtually any concerns concerning where and also how you can employ sites.google.com, you can e mail us with our own site. I see the order number. Thank you for flagging this—it appears there was an internal fulfillment error on our side.
Customer: An error isn’t good enough. I need the hat I ordered, or I need a full refund immediately. Why was I never contacted about this massive failure?
CS Rep: I completely understand your urgency and frustration. We should have alerted you immediately. Let me check the inventory now. Would you prefer us to overnight a replacement if available, or process a full refund right now?
Customer: Given this terrible experience, I don’t trust the shipping process to work correctly anymore. I want a full refund and an email confirming the money is on its way back to my card.
CS Rep: Absolutely. I am processing the full refund now, and I will personally ensure the confirmation email is sent within the next hour. Again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this complete failure of service.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
