Tiger Vanguard is one of the mandatory bosses that you will encounter in Chapter 2. It is one of the most challenging bosses to deal with and uses a varied set of attacks that keep the Destined One on their toes. It might take a few tries to fully understand the boss’ moveset.
This skill tree helps bolster your resilience to the damage enemies can inflict on you. For starters, this is where you can upgrade your health meter. However, you can also bolster your resistance toward any of the four banes (status effects) that some hostiles can wield: burn , poison , chill , and shock damage. There are also skills that help boost the recovery rates of your various meters. Below is a complete listing of these skills under this branch and the costs associated with each.
Kang-Jin Loong flies around a shrine in the frozen lake of Mirrormere , and once your presence alarms them, they will relentlessly try to catch up with you and initiate the fight with Aerial Thrust Grab .
The trick to avoiding this move is to wait for the boss to appear again. Just as you see him reappear, press dodge and you’ll avoid this attack . Be wary that once you’ve avoided this attack, the boss will likely follow it up with a Quick Slash .
Staying mid-range during the fight is deadly as Kang-Jin will release Frost Breath, and dodging it can be tricky . Retreating is also a viable option, but if you get caught in the Frost Breath , it will inflict both Chill and Shock elementals along with physical damage .
This attack is extremely difficult to avoid if you’re further away from the boss. You have to dodge exactly when the boss swings his sword , regardless of how far he is. Tiger Vanguard may also use this attack at close range.
Like Curios, Relics also offer ongoing passive benefits. In your first playthrough, there are a total of 5 relics. You will receive one after you complete each of the first 5 chapters. They each come with 3 perks and you must select one.
